The school holidays for junior golfers in KZN are not complete without a full KZNGU junior golf fixture list. This July is no different. Durban country club hosted their inaugural Junior golf championship on Wednesday this week which saw 60 of the top boys and girls compete for this trophy. The overall winner was Greg McKay from the ‘A’ division with score of 74. The ‘B’ division winner was Liam Parker-Dennison with a score of 86 and ‘C’ div winner was Astin Arthur with 39 points.

Another fixture on the KZNGU calendar was the Nomads PGA junior interclub, a 36 hole event held this year at Mount Edgecombe. Durban country club entered 2 teams into this event and our 1st team won the event with a total score of 440, the best 3 of 4 scores to count from both morning and afternoon fields. This winning score was some 12 shots ahead of the 2nd placed team from Umhlali. The DCC team was made up of Lisanthan Moodley, Sam Mackenzie and Jono and Jason Broomhead. Well done Boys, we are really proud of your achievements.
