From the Captain
Greetings all golfers
As you will see when playing DCC we have started a massive bush eradication program. The aim is to rid ourselves of alien bush, allow the natural trees to flourish and get the silver leaf back in line with the markers from the last Volvo event. Please be patient as this treatment is well overdue. This is in keeping with the suggestions Dave Mclay Kidd gave us many years ago.
This month sees the start of the next voyage of the Jim Beningfield cup at Durban Country Club, now renamed as ‘The Jim Beningfield Men’s Individual Handicap knockout’. The first round starts on Saturday 15 July with 19 matches on offer. Some lucky players have a first round walk over. This is an extremely interesting event with players playing off ¾ handicaps and the lowest player moving to zero. Good luck to all participants.

Wine Tasting Evening With Shannon Vineyards
The Durban Wine Society will be hosting James Downes, co-owner of these highly acclaimed Elgin vineyards.
As they only produce a limited range of these exceptional wines, we will be treated to a vertical tasting of 2 vintages each which will reveal how well they develop in the bottle.
We don’t often get opportunities like this in Durban, so an evening not to be missed!

Feedback from Mike: Kim's classes are great. A beautiful and inspiring setting, friendly atmosphere and the right mix of hard work and fun. Having participated for the past month, I have more energy and feel more flexible. I highly recommend these classes.
